CREATE Arts Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to arts education, art therapy, and community partnerships in Montgomery County and DC, is looking for a dynamic and energetic person to join the CREATE team. We are an “all hands on deck” organization so this hire must be willing to tackle a variety of roles to support our mission. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position. Teaching Artists are encouraged to apply, as there will be separate teaching opportunities available with our classes, workshops and camps.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience with non-profit organizations is a plus
  • Art background/experience is a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask are a must!
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel especially), Google Docs, and Google Sheets
  • Familiarity with databases a plus
  • Must pass fingerprinting/background check

Job Duties:

  • Greet visitors to CREATE and answer incoming phone calls
  • Act as first point-of-contact with parents and customers by responding to email, phone, and in-person inquiries about CREATE programs and registration
  • Create and update classes, workshops, and camps in online registration system
  • Act as occasional point-of-contact (opening or closing) for CREATE programs and events outside of regular office hours
  • Draft and send confirmation and welcome emails for classes, workshops, and camps
  • Create rosters, spreadsheets, and forms for classes, workshops, and camps
  • Post camps, classes, and workshops on a variety of online calendars and listing services
  • Create gift certificates as requested, and track gift certificate usage
  • Light bookkeeping duties
  • Manage and coordinate office operations inventory, and purchase office supplies as needed
  • Oversee CREATE shared calendar and help maintain the calendar of events
  • Liaise with vendors as needed

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

  • relevant: 1 year (Preferred)
  • office management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Spanish proficiency is a plus

Work authorization:

  • United States (Required)

Salary: $35,000/year
