Job Description

Join an innovative and multidisciplinary team in the Kennedy Center’s Programming Department. The International Programming department presents exciting and large scale International festivals that include performances, exhibits, literature, film, fashion, culinary and design. In addition, the department presents art series (with focus on the performing and visual arts and the environment).

The Coordinator provides programmatic and administrative assistance to the office of International Programming to support all the day -to- day administrative activities of the department, to ensure the efficient operations of the International large-scale events presented.

The Coordinator must be able to exercise discretion in order to prioritize assignments and work under significant pressure, as many projects are time sensitive and involve concurrent deadlines. An eagerness to take initiative, communicate, work both independently and in a team setting, and problem solve with a positive attitude are essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

Support overall function and logistics of International Programming department by:

  • Planning, preparation, and communications related to programmatic meetings and presentations.
  • Day-to-day management and administrative support including, but not limited to taking meeting minutes, expense reimbursements, travel arrangements, ordering office and show supplies.
  • Manage review and approvals for advertising, press, and marketing materials
  • Facilitate logistics for guest, partner, and artist visits to the Center.
  • Maintaining office records and programming files.

Provide support to artists and staff before, during, and after International Programming festivals and productions by:

  • Collecting and preparing deal memos for department programs.
  • Assist with the preparation of artist work permit visa applications.
  • Work with International Programming staff on the development of artist welcome packets, guest artist passes, building signage, itineraries and other materials.
  • Assist in planning of international and domestic transportation ( including reservation of all flights) and hotel reservations for staff and artists.
