The City of Takoma Park is seeking an arts and humanities intern who will assist in organizing and implementing the City’s wide range of arts programs. During this 12-month paid part-time internship, the selected candidate will help organize, promote, and staff events in the Takoma Park Arts series, including poetry readings, film screenings, concerts, theater, and art exhibitions at the Takoma Park Community Center.

The intern also will assist with the organization and installation of public art projects in locations across Takoma Park and the graphic design of fliers, posters, and other materials. The intern will work approximately 20 hours per week, typically from Mondays to Wednesdays with some telework. Work at evening or weekend events is required approximately two or three times per month.
