This year we celebrate the 15th annual MCPS Latin dance competition in Montgomery County and 5th consecutive at Strathmore. 10 High Schools will compete in 8 categories; Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, ChaCha, Jack‘n Jill, Alumni, Best in Show and Parent/Student.
The After School Dance Fund promotes health, exercise, cultural diversity and unity through Latin dance education. ASDF helps establish Latin dance clubs inside MCPS or partner with existing ones to provide artistic support and instruction in Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and ChaCha.
The annual Latin dance competition at Strathmore is by far the County’s premier Hispanic grassroots community event because it defines the different cultures within Hispanics, and non-Hispanics, through Latin dancing.

Parking in the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro garage is $5.20 during the week and free on weekends. Strathmore is also accessible via Metro's Red Line, Grosvenor-Strathmore station.
Limited short-term parking also is available at specially marked meters along Tuckerman Lane, which do not require payment after 7pm.
