Waverly Street Gallery is one of the Washington DC Metro area’s premier art galleries featuring contemporary visual artists working in a wide range of media.
“Contrasts,” featuring the work of artists Jane Callen and Janet Wittenberg at the Waverly Street Gallery, explores the role of contrasting elements in art – and life. Even the media themselves represent contrasting glass forms: Callen works in hot glass from the furnace, Wittenberg primarily uses the kiln to form her glass art. Together, the two have assembled a body of work that speaks to the notable and meaningful contrasts that define glass and indeed life’s journey.
