Juggling at its purest, with a breakdancing, pop-art twist: throwing rings, landing backflips, twisting feet, water flying, 21 balls juggled as 15 clubs spin around the three jugglers’ bodies to the tune of an electronic beat.
Water on Mars is made up of the three jugglers: Tony Pezzo (USA), Wes Peden (USA) and Patrick Elmnert (Sweden), who met while studying at the Stockholm University of Dance and Circus.
The show is a freshly-conceived circus performance that highlights the form’s natural drama, humor, and airborne geometry. The performance involves the throwing of rings, the landing of backflips, the twisting of feet, water flying through the air, and 21 balls being juggled as 15 clubs spin around their bodies to the tune of an electronic beat. The tricks created by these six hands and thousands of catches are as physical as breakdancing and as stylized as Japanese pop art.
