Free up personal experiences, discover your voice, choose the best words, in six sessions in which we write on assigned topics and read pieces aloud. We spend the first half hour or so of every class writing from prompts, and then work on looking for spots where the story begins to come alive and draw the reader in. Participants are encouraged to bring in pieces written outside class for the group to critique. At the end of the Transitions series, everyone will have six writing fragments, along with suggestions about where to go with each piece.
