Thelma and her thirty-year-old daughter, Jessie, live together in a comfortable, country home. With their plans of manicures and small talk, the evening seems to be a normal one until Jessie brings down her father's old gun from the attic. Marsha Norman's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama ruthlessly exposes the extraordinary within the routine, the urgency within the normal, and the sorrow within the mundane. Featuring the talents of Melissa B. Robinson and Jennifer Berry George, 'Night Mother is called "an essential theatre experience" by DC Theatre Scene and received five out of five stars from DC Metro Theatre Arts.
