"Tick, Tick... Boom!" Auditions

Auditions for The Highwood Theatre’s upcoming musical “Tick, Tick… Boom!” are open to all students in 8th-12th grade

The first student production of the season is Tick, Tick...Boom! directed by Mae Gilligan as part of our new Directing Fellowship program. Tick, Tick...Boom! is a powerful semi-autobiographical rock musical by Jonathan Larson, the creator of RENT, and tells the story of Jonathan, a struggling composer living in New York City. On the cusp of turning thirty, he suffers a crisis trying to decide what to do with his life. Though he loves composing, he’s broke and is at a major crossroads: should he work for his friend, Michael, or leave the city and settle down with his girlfriend Susan?
Auditions are open to students in grades 8 - 12 and will take place on Wednesday, August 31st from 7:00 - 9:30, so email casting@thehighwoodtheatre.org to reserve your spot! Performances run November 4 - 5 and 11 - 13.

There is a large public parking garage located two doors down from our Silver Spring office and rehearsal space. Rates in the garage are $0.70/hour. Street parking is also available for $1.00/hour. Parking is free after 7:00 PM and on weekends.
