Core instruction introduces drawing techniques and tips vital for successful observational drawing. Students learn to observe and to draw accurately through a developing awareness of Line, Shape, Space (2-D & 3-D) and Relationship.

Composition and perspective drawing are introduced. A final study is completed in well defined, pencil line, with no shading at this stage and includes natural and man made objects, some requiring use of a vanishing point.
