WETA and XM Radio host Robert Aubry Davis joins local actor Joe Palka in narrating QTC's 11 December 2016 stage reading of James Joyce's THE DEAD. They will be joined by original cast members of QTC's highly acclaimed 2012 musical of the story.
The story, from THE DUBLINERS, centers on Gabriel Conroy, a university professor, on the night of the Morkan sisters' annual dance and dinner in the first week of January 1904. It's a celebration of friends and family as well as a remembrance of lost love.
Clips from QTC's 2012 musical will be shown and there will be holiday refreshments and a holiday market made up of QTC props, costumes, and other goodies in the lobby.
This seasonal event is FREE to QTC subscribers. Non-subscribers pay $15. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED due to limited seating.

The doors will open at 1pm so patrons can come early to look over the holiday market in the lobby and make purchases if they wish. At 1:30, QTC board members who play musical instruments will play a few holiday tunes and The Lass of Aughrim in the theatre space. The staged reading will begin at 2pm and end around 3:30pm. Following the performance, patrons will return to the lobby for holiday refreshments and more shopping!
