Artists & Makers Studios 2 Presents
The Reachable Shore & The Grand Opening of the New Masters Art Gallery
A New Beginning

(Rockville, MD) – Artists & Makers Studios 2 on Wilkins Avenue in Rockville will present two exhibits for the month of December, celebrating the soft opening of this new location. “The Reachable Shore” with renowned figurative painter Judith Peck will be featured in the second floor gallery. Full of life and resilient, the people Judith depicts in her work prove that it is possible to summon great strength and self-distinction and remain unbowed. The thread running through all of her work is about how we heal ourselves in this broken world. Judith Peck’s work will be featured in the January issue of American Art Collector Magazine. The Grand Opening of the New Masters Gallery on the third floor will feature the works of 30 of the area’s finest representational artists in one extraordinary exhibit. The Montgomery County Camera Club is presenting “Simply The Best”, a photography exhibit featuring the best work from the MoCo Camera Club Members. This exhibit will take you on an artistic journey showcasing images from different photographic genres. Landscapes, portraits, abstracts and still life are just a few of the photography styles that will be on display in the photography hall.

***The club will also take free holiday portraits of the guests and visitors that stop by. The photos will be printed on-site and given to the guests before they leave. They will take home a 4x6 print in a paper/cardboard frame as a gift from the Club!

Love has many flavors, many moods…and it provides a very real and meaningful place to find imagery and ideas, flashes of insight that people can connect with, because while universal it is deeply personal and intimate for each of us. “Believing is Seeing” with the Women’s Caucus for Art/DC is an exhibit juried by Rebecca Cross of the Cross MacKenzie Gallery in Georgetown.

These exhibits at both locations open Friday, December 2nd, and continue through Wednesday, December 28th, 2016.  Viewing hours are 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Tuesday-Friday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Saturdays, and Sundays/Mondays by chance or appointment.
