Glen Echo Pottery Gallery is extending its holiday sale hours, opening on Friday December 9 and December 16 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in addition to Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.  The Gallery shows the work of 29 advanced potters and instructors at Glen Echo Pottery.  All pieces are for sale and represent a variety of forms, glaze treatments, and firing effects.  Most pieces are functional--cups, bowls, vases, etc.  Decorative works include raku and sculptural vessels.  Gift cards are also available.  The Gallery will also be open until 7 p.m. during Glen Echo Park's Winter's Eve, December 10.

The Gallery will close for the season on December 24 at 2 p.m.  The Gallery will also be closed December 2-4 for the annual Holiday Sale at GW University's Mt. Vernon campus.  Holiday Sale hours are December 2 from 6-8p.m., December 3 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and December 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Holiday Sale features the work of 50 local potters and will present more than 4,000 unique pots of all kinds.
