THE BOSSY GALITO –– EL GALLO DE BODAS & FRIENDS (Ages 4-6)

This camp is based on the traditional Cuban Folktale, The Bossy Galito, about the journey of a plucky rooster. Campers dance to Cuban rhythms, sing songs about friendship and learn Spanish poems.

FEATHERS OF THE PEACOCK
6/19-6/30 (2 weeks), M-F, 9am-3pm
During a journey through traditional Sri Lankan Folklore, students will explore the story of the God Kataragama and the Feathers of the Peacock. Dancers discover the traditional and folk movement of Sri Lanka while also learning ballet, modern and jazz. Feathers of the Peacock also teaches the magic and mystery of symbolism.

THE GOLDEN GOOSE
7/10-7/21 (2 weeks), M-F, 9am-3pm
The Golden Goose is a traditional East Indian Jataka Shadow Puppet tale about a King who seeks the magical powers of the feathers of an elusive and rare golden goose. Students enact the enchantment of this fabled adventure through Bollywood, hip hop, contemporary ballet, modern and jazz dance forms.
