An innovative new exhibit at the Beall-Dawson Museum
Ever wanted to open a drawer at a museum and discover its secrets? Inside Out/Upside Down will satisfy that urge, and then some! For a limited time, Rockville’s Beall-Dawson Museum will feature 18th and 19th century American furniture displayed like you’ve never seen it before, with pieces turned over and around so you can see their design and construction. You’ll learn how furniture-making techniques have changed over time, discover secret drawers and locking mechanisms, and, if you look closely, see the signatures (and even delivery instructions!) of the craftsmen who created these timeless treasures. Join us to see furniture in an entirely new way! Open April 8, 2017 through June 25, 2017.
Open Thursday-Sunday, 12:00-4:00
Closed major holidays.
Admission: $7 adults / $5 seniors, students, and active US military / children under 6 free / Montgomery History members free
Tickets sold at the museum.
