The Homecoming: Six Artists Return to Glen Echo Park

The Homecoming: Six Artists Return to Glen Echo Park

Presented by Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture at Glen Echo Park

The Glen Echo Park Partnership presents "The Homecoming: Six Artists Return to Glen Echo Park" in the Stone Tower Gallery this May. This exhibition celebrates six influential artists whose creativity and talent has left a strong artistic impact on the Town of Glen Echo, and the community of Glen Echo Park. Featured artists include Rhoda Baer, Carol Barton, Henry Barrow, Raya Bodnarchuk, Jim Sanborn and Tom Wolff. Presented in conjunction with Glen Echo Park's upcoming Gala "Celebrate History in Our Backyard," this exhibition recognizes a diverse range of media, from photography to glass, sculpture to painting, woodworking and mixed media. Blending creative environments, these artists are all past or current Town of Glen Echo residents, and cultivated their artistry, and shared that expertise with others, through artist residencies and classes presented at Glen Echo Park. An Opening Reception will be held on Friday, May 5 from 6 to 8pm as part of Art Walk in the Park. The gallery will be open additional hours for the Gala on May 20, 11am to 7pm and 9 to 11pm.
