The Hero of EVERYTHING

The Hero of EVERYTHING

Presented by InterAct Story Theatre at The Wheaton Public Library

The Wheaton Family Theatre Series will kick off on October 3, with our hit play “The Hero of EVERYTHING.” The Hero of EVERYTHING is a fresh, fun, and interactive way for kids and families to explore the importance of teamwork and the perils of trying to do everything yourself, all by being part of the action of a superhero play for heroes of all agesThe Hero of EVERYTHING, an original interactive superhero play for young audiences, premiered as a touring production last fall and instantly became one of the company’s most popular plays, having been performed for nearly 20,000 children and adults throughout the state so far. The interactive experience of the performance begins at the top of the show, with a brainstorming session among the actors and the audience – Let’s come up with some ideas for some brand new superheroes for today’s play, superheroes no one has ever seen before! – and continues with a post-performance talkback and “Behind the Scenes” presentation, in which audience members can learn how we make some of the science and engineering stage magic happen! Parents come away with a discussion guide they can use to explore the ideas in the play with their children and continue the theatrical experience at home. Kids come away with an amazing superhero adventure, and an invitation to create adventures of their own to share with us!
