Artists & Makers Studios 1 and 2 hosts five exhibits opening July 7th at two Rockville locations!!
Artists & Makers Studios on Parklawn in Rockville is proud to present two powerful exhibits in three galleries for the month of July. Black Artists of DC (BADC) are in the two main galleries with work by Daniel T. Brooking, James Brown, Jr., T.H. Gomillion, Gloria C. Kirk, Glenda Richardson, Janathel Shaw, Russell D. Simmons, Nanno Smith, and Eugene Vango and “The Identity of Water” with Cheryl Edwards. Resident artists’ open studios will round out the evening for visitors at Parklawn.
Artists & Makers Studios 2 on Wilkins Avenue in Rockville will present three exhibits in the main galleries for the month of July. “The Unapproved Thought” features the work of Michele Colburn, Linda Hesh, Carolina Mayorga, John Paradiso, Jenny Walton, Dawn Whitmore, and Zac Willis - curated by Liz Georges. “Time and Place: A Retrospective” with Julie Smith, and a group exhibit by the Montgomery County Camera Club “The Essence of the DMV” as well as exhibits in New Master’s Gallery, Gallery 209, and resident artists’ open studios round will out the evening for visitors at Wilkins.
These exhibits at both locations open Friday, July 7th, and continue through Thursday, July 27th, 2017. Viewing hours are 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Tuesday-Friday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Saturdays, and Sundays/Mondays by chance or appointment.
