Evenings in Olde Towne

Presented by City of Gaithersburg Arts and Events at City Hall Concert Pavilion

Wind down the workday with great music in a casual, outdoor setting at the City Hall Concert Pavilion. Grab some local carryout to enjoy during the concert, or enjoy the music before dining in Olde Towne afterwards. All concerts begin at 6 p.m. Bring a blanket or low-back chair for lawn seating.

July 13- The Sidleys

The Sidleys are a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist duo based out of the Washington, DC area. Combining material from both of their previous projects, as well as brand-new songs, Annie and Steve Sidley have created a unique, yet universal sound that has been described as high-energy, melodic, soul-influenced indie rock. They have performed at venues and festivals all over the U.S and prestigious DC area venues.

July 20- The Fringe Benefits

A five piece cover band playing Motown, Classic Rock, 80's, 90's and Current hits. Not just music, but interactive and engaging entertainment.

July 27- East of Monroe

East of Monroe is an Americana/bluegrass group based in Virginia and Maryland. Their music is mostly original tunes along with tasteful covers of diverse songs. The band members all have different influences and backgrounds and that accounts for the many different styles of music the group plays. It all comes together in a unique, entertaining way- and with their new release, By the River’s Edge, they will surely become a force on the acoustic scene.

Sept 7- Diamond Alley

Diamond Alley, one of Washington DC's most popular groups, is a five-piece dance/rock and variety band performing an exciting and diverse mix of contemporary and classic hits as well as the band’s own popular original tunes. Diamond Alley is best known throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for their unusual vocal talent (all five members sing), outstanding live performance and audience rapport.

Sept 14- Vintage #18

Vintage #18 has become well-known in a very short time as a dynamic soul and blues band igniting stages throughout the Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC areas with engaging live performance and stick-to-your-bones groove. Built on a framework of uniquely talented and dedicated musicians, the band, formed in 2013, features the vintage sound of Bill Holter (guitar), the groove is laid by Alex Kuldell (drums) and Mark Chandler (bass), with sultry lead vocals by Robbin Kapsalis, captivating audiences with her soulful voice and infectious live show. The energy of the band is undeniable and together. Vintage #18 delivers hard-driving blues rhythms and soul grooves you can move to.

Sept 21- The Rhodes Tavern Troubadours

The Rhodes Tavern Troubadours, an award-winning rock and roll band from Washington, DC. Band members are all seasoned musicians and have been recorded on 40 albums and have performed in over 40 states and 12 countries.

Sept 28- Ball in the House

Following in the path of classic harmony groups like Boyz II Men, The Temptations, and Take 6, while incorporating the pop and neo-soul influence of artists like Bruno Mars, Daft Punk, and Pharrell Williams, five member veteran vocal band Ball in the House will move audiences with their music. With their extensive tour schedule (averaging 200 dates a year), Ball in the House reaches millions and is arguably one of the hardest working, most successful indie bands today. Over the years, they have performed with several artists including The Beach Boys, Gladys Knight, Kool & the Gang, KC & The Sunshine Band, Jessica Simpson, and Smokey Robinson.
