CityDance@Rockville 1570 E Jefferson Street, Rockville MD 20852 Fall session Sept. 5 – May 27 Dance classes designed to emphasize creativity and introduce technique, for dancers ages 3-7.
Jazz Class Ages 5-9
Students study the basics of jazz dance including introduction to technique, improvisations, and rhythms. A variety of authentic jazz music and themes are used in the class: from ragtime, broadway, lyrical, and pop in order for children to become better aquainted with this American dance form and its close relationship to music. The elements of time and expression are central in this class and help children to discover the natural razzmatazz perfromance-oriented quality of this idiom.
