Literary Luncheon with Dr. Musil of the Rachel Carson Council

Presented by Friends of the Library, Montgomery County and Strathmore at The Mansion at Strathmore

FOLMC opens the three-day F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Festival with a luncheon featuring Dr. Robert Musil on October 19th, at 11:30 a.m. Dr. Musil is the President and CEO of the Rachel Carson Council and has written on a range of environmental topics, including global environmental policy, climate change, and the environmental features of Washington, DC. Join us for this timely and informative discussion.

Copies of Dr. Musil’s Rachel Carson and Her Sisters and Washington in Spring will be available for purchase and signing. The luncheon following the lecture offers an opportunity to continue a personal dialog with the author. Lunch is provided by Ridgewells Catering from a pre-selected menu.

In addition to the lecture, take time to enjoy the Mansion at Strathmore stunning grounds and unique gift shop. The Mansion is a lovely Neo-Georgian colonial-revival built in 1899. The Mansion’s spacious galleries house an eye-catching and thought-provoking array of works in every medium.  The outdoor sculpture garden displays commissioned and donated sculptures by various local and national artists.  Click here to view the current list of exhibitions.
