Nadine Darling, winner of the 2016 McLaughlin-Esstman-Stearns First Novel Prize, will read from She Came from Beyond!, a novel that chronicles the adventures of Easy Hardwick, a celebrity in the small town of Troubadour, Oregon, where she’s an actor on a cable access Sci-Fi parody show. Darling’s voice is quick-witted and finds comedic moments even in tragedy.
