Best known in Washington for his long-running stage show Banjo Dancing at Arena Stage, Wade has spent his life merging scholarship and the creative arts. This concert explores American grassroots traditions from lyric folksong to old-time instrumentals to comic recitations. Described as a “master of creating compelling narratives that entertain and inform” (Washington Post), Wade is joined by veteran instrumentalists Zan McLeod and Russ Hooper for a truly unforgettable and enriching concert experience.
Wade’s second concert is on Thu, Nov 16.
