The Gaithersburg Chorus celebrates its 30^th anniversary and welcomes visitors to an Open House on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Potential new members can meet Chorus Director Daniel Hopkins, sample the fall season repertoire, and socialize while enjoying some snacks.

The Gaithersburg Chorus celebrates 30 years of joyful song! This non-audition ensemble, open to those 16 and older, performs a variety of music from classical, to Pop, to Broadway and everything in between. The Chorus is a class, with sessions in the fall and spring. Director, Daniel Hopkins, and accompanist, Teresa McCoy, provide weekly instruction on music theory, musicality and the mechanics of singing, including vocalization, voice control, proper breathing technique and voice projection. Previous experience not required. All are welcome to sing with this fun group of dynamic musicians. Formal weekly rehearsals resume and registrations are due September 12, 2017.
