Nellie McKay

Presented by Strathmore at AMP by Strathmore

Whether she is crooning out Broadway hits or belting her way through ’60s psych pop, McKay’s charisma constantly shines through. Her latest album, 2015’s My Weekly Reader, was co-produced by famed Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick, whose distinctive touch catapults the album of classics by artists like The Kinks, Frank Zappa, Steve Miller Band, and more into the ’60s stratosphere. Additionally, McKay has performed onscreen in the films P.S. I Love You and Downtown Express and her music has been played on Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Weeds, Grey’s Anatomy, and Nurse Jackie.
