Three giants of Polish music are featured in this concert honoring Poland’s 100th anniversary of independence. Debski is a renowned composer who strides many genres and styles; Chopin, a giant of the Romantic era; and Szymanowski was Poland’s ambassador composer of the 20th century. Each of the these works commemorates the national, cultural and musical identity of Poland.
“There isn’t much about Chopin that Brian Ganz doesn’t know. His delight and wonder in this music seem to grow, apparently without bounds, as time goes on.” --The Washington Post
