Talk and Tasting: Spirits of the Chesapeake: Colonial Taverns

Presented by Gaithersburg Community Museum at Gaithersburg Community Museum

Rod Cofield, Director of Historic London Town and Gardens, will guide those 21 and older through a history of inns and taverns that dotted the Chesapeake region during the 18th century. Tastings will start at 7 p.m., with the talk starting at 7:30. Admission is $10. Register online at www.gaithersburgmd.gov.

This program is being held in conjunction with the exhibit "Artifacts of Outlander" which explores 1740s Maryland as it compared to the period depicted in Scotland in the television series. "Outlander." The exhibit is on loan from the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory January 6-March 3, 2018.
