19th Annual High School Art Exhibition

Presented by Friends of the Yellow Barn at Yellow Barn Studio at Glen Echo Park

On March 17 and 18, The Friends of the Yellow Barn, the nonprofit organization supporting the Yellow Barn Studio and Gallery, will host the 19th Annual High School Exhibition providing young artists in the DC, Virginia, and Maryland area with the chance to be recognized and rewarded for their artistic excellence. This exhibition is one of the most competitive competitions for young artists in the DMV area. All 40 artists will receive a gift certificate for Art Supplies, with a top prize of $500, a second place award of $250, and a third place award of $150. All prizes are provided by Plaza Art Materials.The Friends of the Yellow Barn is also pleased to announce three Outstanding Teachers will be recognized with a monetary prize of $250. These teachers are nominated by their students, and will be acknowledged the night of the reception for their year round hard work in cultivating and inspiring young minds. This show spotlights the future artists that will flood the future with beauty, creativity, and inspiration. Parking Info

Glen Echo Park is located at 7300 MacArthur Blvd, Glen Echo, MD, 20812 (this is the intersection of Goldsboro Rd and MacArthur Blvd).

From Northern Virginia, take Route 495 to the exit for the Clara Barton Parkway toward Washington, DC. Take the Exit for Glen Echo. Left at the stop sign on MacArthur Blvd. and left into Glen Echo Park. The Yellow Barn is next to the stone tower.

From Rockville, take 270 South to 495 south toward Northern Virginia. Take the exit for Glen Echo and the Clara Barton Parkway. Exit at Glen Echo and proceed to the stop sign on MacArthur Blvd. Take a left into Glen Echo Park.

From Silver Spring, take East West Highway to Bethesda, turn onto Old Georgetown Road then take a left on Wilson Lane. Follow Wilson Lane for a few miles to MacArthur Blvd. Turn Left onto MacArthur Blvd, then turn right into Glen Echo Park's free parking lot.

Using Public Transportation, take Montgomery County Ride-On bus #29 operating daily from the Friendship Heights metro station on the Red Line.
