Dorothy Fall: Forest Mysteries
The Glen Echo Park Partnership presents Dorothy Fall: Forest Mysteries. Trees have always mystified Fall as she sought to capture the essence of their mysterious spirits. They are the force behind her creativity. Each seems inhabited, a living creature, much like Daphne who turned herself into a tree to escape Apollo. In Fall’s travels, she has been entranced by the indigenous trees of every country visited. She studies their branches and roots – coming out of pock marked or smooth trunks, spreading their tendrils on the forest floor. This exhibition is curated by Mindy Weisel, an award-winning glass artist and painter.
