Gershwin's Piano Concerto

Gershwin's Piano Concerto

Presented by Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at Music Center at Strathmore

Under Marin Alsop’s baton, Stravinsky’s dazzling Firebird concludes with one of the most exalted finales in all of music. Gershwin’s Concerto in F is a blend of traditional classical forms and the freedom of American jazz. After a year without writing music, Schumann’s incredibly personal Second Symphony expresses his triumph over darkness.
