Bring your telescope to learn how to use it. Come for the skywatching using the Observatory telescopes.
Do you have a telescope you have wanted to use, but aren’t sure how to use it? This is your opportunity to get one-on-one help! Bring your telescope and Observatory volunteers will work with you help you learn how your telescope works. Then stay for an evening of skywatching. We’ll be looking at Saturn and Jupiter. Telescope Workshop at 7:00, Skywatching at 8:30. You don’t need a telescope to participate in the skywatching portion of the evening. We will have telescopes for everyone to use.
You must contact the museum to let us know if you will be participating in the Telescope Help Session and what type of telescope you have. Contact the museum at 301-258-6160 or museum@gaithersburgmd.gov by June 5 to let us know.
