Maryland Humanities presents a free grants workshop for nonprofits and government entities offering programming related to the humanities, arts, or heritage preservation.
The workshop will provide information about grant programs and application procedures for statewide and local organizations. Along with Maryland Humanities, the roster of presenters also includes the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, Maryland Heritage Areas, Maryland Historical Trust, Maryland State Arts Council, and Preservation Maryland.
Maryland Humanities awards grants to nonprofit organizations that use the humanities (literature, philosophy, history, etc.) to inspire Marylanders to embrace lifelong learning, exchange ideas openly, and enrich their communities. Grant criteria encourage free, public programming that uses humanities as central tools to explore and understand the complexity of issues affecting their communities. Learn more about the grants program at www.mdhumanities.org/grants.
The event is free but registration is required.
