With a raw, emotional take on Americana, Justin Trawick & The Common Good take the genre to exciting new places. As heartfelt ballads blend into raucous bluegrass melodies and even tinges of hip-hop verse, Trawick and his band take you on a journey into the sounds of Americana’s future. Citing musical influences like Old Crow Medicine Show and David Gray, Trawick & The Common Good have opened for artists ranging from Suzanne Vega to Wyclef Jean, and they have shared the stage with Dr. Dog and The Avett Brothers.
Lauren Calve brings a similarly new and vital energy to Americana. With songs that are by turn anthemic and poetic, her blend of rousing rock and sweeping folk has earned her plaudits around the DC area. Taking inspiration from artists like Patty Griffin and Bonnie Raitt, Calve exudes confidence and musicianship with strong, soulful vocals and virtuosic ability on the lap steel guitar. Calve’s live shows are not to be missed.
Opening the show is folk musician Eli Lev. With infectious musicality and soulful charisma, the DC area musician brings emotion and excitement to folk music.

There are 2 available parking garages at AMP, including a new one on Trade Street. Valet parking will also be available for a $5 fee. The Old Georgetown Road Garage, located at 11580 Old Georgetown Road, North Bethesda, MD 20852, is directly beneath AMP. The best way to enter the garage is by making a right turn directly into the garage from westbound Old Georgetown Road (between Grand Park Avenue and Executive Blvd). Follow the signs to the AMP elevator and go directly to level 4. The new Trade Street Garage is located at 11860 Trade Street, North Bethesda, MD 20852, right across from AMP and adjacent to the Per Sei apartments. Both are very convenient to the venue.
