Night Watch Paradox brings their original steampunk rock opera "Magnificent Machines and Astonishing Tales" to Gaithersburg's Best Medicine Rep Theater for one night only: Saturday, July 21 @ 7pm!  

In a world where steam powered technology rules, and time travel is a reality, the Captain of the flying airship Night Watch Paradox searches for crew members. These privateers seek fun and adventure on their heroic journey across time. The Baltimore-based crew encounters interesting characters as they land in the middle 19th Century historic events, battle pirates, foil sneaky British spies, and ultimately lead the American forces to defeat the British Navy in the War of 1812. This steampunk rock opera features a time machine, live music, a healthy dose of good-natured humor, animated video snippets and a video narrator to guide the action. The audience will join the crew in this participatory musical journey with various forms of call-and-response, sing-a-longs, and an epic more cowbell! moment. The show features 16 original songs ranging in style from ballads, waltzes, cabaret, country, rock, jazz and punk to tell this steampunk inspired story. Buckle up, get ready to clap and stomp your feet, and prepare for fun and adventure!
