The first intensive program of this caliber in the DC metro area, Pre-Professional is designed to provide high school students with exceptional musical theatre training opportunities. Students actively participate in the creation process and build their skills in auditioning, acting, voice, movement, and production. Levine’s partnership with DC area theatres offers students enhanced performance experiences and exposure to the professional theatre atmosphere.

Students accepted into this highly selective program will participate in performances roles and technical apprenticeship tracks. Students will also take part in master classes led by highly qualified professionals in the field. New this year: all students will participate in a mid-year showcase cabaret, which will be tailored to the unique talents of each individual. The showcase will be live-streamed and each participant will receive a professionally recorded and edited video recording of their performance which can be used for future auditions.

Past Pre-Professional productions include Rent, Pippin, Next to  Normal, Parade, Oklahoma, and Sweeney Todd.
