A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol

Presented by Fitzgerald Theatre and Hope Garden Children's Ballet Theatre at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre

Set in 1840’s London, “A Christmas Carol,” an original ballet interpretation of Dickens’ novel. It is the uplifting tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and the restorative power of love and generosity. Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley who wanders aimlessly carrying heavy chains forged from his own greed. The Spirits of Christmas reveal Scrooge’s miserly existence, the opportunities wasted in his youth, the cruelty of his present, and the future if he stays his course.

“It was jaw dropping. It was gorgeous. It was so thrilling to watch the joy on the faces,” Joel Markowitz, DCMetroTheaterArts.com
