40th Takoma Park Folk Festival

40th Takoma Park Folk Festival

Presented by Takoma Park Folk Festival at Takoma Park Middle School

The Takoma Park Festival has provided joyous and eclectic entertainment for four decades, and it returns on Sunday September 16, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., rain or shine. This free and family-friendly event showcases folksingers, international musicians and dancers, as well as teen performers. Other features include a juried craft show, kids' games, an array of international foods and community booths. Of special note, the popular community loom in the crafts area is returning, as is an exhibit on the history of the Festival. Come early and participate in a singing procession led by the D.C. Labor Chorus. Takoma Park Middle School, 7611 Piney Branch Rd, 20910.

Parking on-site is limited to those with handicap permits. Shuttle buses run from the Takoma Park metro station Kiss & Ride area, and Montgomery College East parking garage at 7730 Fenton Street, Silver Spring. Service dogs only on school grounds. More Info: www.tpff.org

The festival needs hundreds of volunteers to put on this wonderful event!  Please consider being part of the community that brings the festival to life.  https://www.tpff.org/volunteer
