Drummer and composer Antonio Sánchez is riding the crest of a musical wave that began with his Golden Globe and BAFTA-nominated score for Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance). Sánchez is a member of the Pat Metheny Group and has played with jazz luminaries the likes of Chick Corea, Christian McBride, and Joshua Redman. His latest work, an experimental project called Bad Hombre, is a suite of fervent solo drumming improvisations infused with surreal electronic textures. The Old Georgetown Road Garage, located at 11580 Old Georgetown Road, North Bethesda, MD 20852, is directly beneath AMP. The best way to enter the garage is by making a right turn directly into the garage from westbound Old Georgetown Road (between Grand Park Avenue and Executive Blvd). Follow the signs to the AMP elevator and go directly to level 4. The new Trade Street Garage is located at 11860 Trade Street, North Bethesda, MD 20852, right across from AMP and adjacent to the Per Sei apartments. Both are very convenient to the venue.
