Community Café

Community Café

Presented by Sandy Spring Museum at Sandy Spring Museum

Community Café  at the Sandy Spring Museum is a grassroots discussion circle focused on topics in American life and the role of the United States in the global community.

Compared to our allies, the US has extremely liberal policies on regulating speech. During this Community Café session, Dr. Francine Jamin will facilitate a discussion on Free Speech vs Hate Speech. Where do we draw the line?

Participants, who register in advance, read a chapter-length pre-café selection and arrive prepared to have a thoughtful dialogue on the topic. Brown bag lunches are welcome.

Advanced registration is required and the discussion is limited to 15 people.
