Performed by Alberto Busettini
A sumptuous, definitively French, program of harpsichord music by three generations of the Couperin family.
Italian keyboard artist Alberto Busettini performs this sumptuous, definitively French, Program of works by three generations of the famed Couperin family. The glorious works of Louis Couperin, François Couperin ('the Great'), and Armand-Louis Couperin reveal the evolving style of French Baroque music, from the stylized Dance Suite form of the Early/Mid Baroque, to the more song-like, mood-invoking melodies of the Late Baroque/Rococo, to the hallmark expressiveness and lightness of the early Classical period.
