Chavez and her globetrotting band have performed in 8 different countries, touring internationally as cultural ambassadors with the US State Department. A true critical darling, Chavez is a multi-award winner who has garnered attention by multiple national publications including NPR, The Boston Globe, and USA Today. In 2014, her song “Siete-D,” written about her experience volunteering in gang-torn San Salvador, won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest Grand Prize. An artist and an advocate, Chavez is also the proud founder of Niñas Arriba, a college fund for young Latinas in Venezuela.

There are 2 available parking garages at AMP, including a new one on Trade Street. Valet parking will also be available for a $5 fee. The Old Georgetown Road Garage, located at 11580 Old Georgetown Road, North Bethesda, MD 20852, is directly beneath AMP. The best way to enter the garage is by making a right turn directly into the garage from westbound Old Georgetown Road (between Grand Park Avenue and Executive Blvd). Follow the signs to the AMP elevator and go directly to level 4. The new Trade Street Garage is located at 11860 Trade Street, North Bethesda, MD 20852, right across from AMP and adjacent to the Per Sei apartments. Both are very convenient to the venue.
