Follow the life and struggles of an eighth-grader during her last week of classes before graduating to high school.
Kayla battles with social anxiety in real-life situations, but produces video blogs giving life advice. The film’s write/director, Bo Burnham, was inspired by his own life experiences when he began writing the screenplay in 2014. Eighth Grade has received numerous awards and nominations and is nominated for four Independent Spirit Awards, including Best Feature; and a Golden Globe for Best Actress for lead, Elsie Fisher.
