Summer Documentary Filmmaking Camp

Summer Documentary Filmmaking Camp

Presented by Docs In Progress at Docs In Progress at Alexander House

In this two-week fun and educational day camp for youth ages 12-18, participants work in small teams to plan, shoot, and edit short documentary videos filmed in and around downtown Silver Spring, Maryland.

Campers will be provided access to and training with video cameras and editing equipment. Final projects will be shown in a mini-festival for family and friends, uploaded to YouTube, and may also be featured at the Community Stories Film Festival later in the year. The camp takes place from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm each weekday from July 8-19. The camp has a maximum of nine participants.

We have a refrigerator for campers to store their lunches. We will also provide water and nut-free snacks.
