The creation of a female superhero – Wonder Woman – broke sexist barriers. She was drawn from the brave women who fought for suffrage. Pre-talk tasting with True Respite Brewing Company.
Inspired by the women’s suffrage movement of the 1910s, William Moulton Marston created Wonder Woman in 1941 as a new type of woman he believed should rule the world. More than 75 years later, she continues to be an icon of strength and liberation for generations of young girls and women. Park Ranger Heidi Dietze will discuss how Wonder Woman broke through sexist barriers.
Tasting with True Respite Brewing Company, a brewery and taproom in Rockville at 7 p.m.; talk at 7:30 p.m. (Must be 21 years to be served alcohol).
Tickets are $10. Space is limited. Program is held in the museum's vintage RDC rail car.
