Two of blues’ finest players share AMP’s stage!
Two of blues’ finest players share AMP’s stage! Southern blues-rock performer Tinsley Ellis is a bona fide guitar hero. Born in Atlanta and raised in Florida, this son of the south was inspired to play the blues after seeing the legendary B.B. King in concert as a teen. He went on to share the stage with such artists as Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Allman Brothers, Leon Russell, and many others. Coco Montoya was taught by the “Master of the Telecaster,” Albert Collins, and schooled by a decade on the road with John Mayall. Mayall hired Montoya as lead guitarist for a new version of the Bluesbreakers, stepping into Eric Clapton’s former role—talk about big shoes to fill! Montoya has a hard-edged, unique sound marked by his searing, melodic playing and passionate vocals.
