A new evening version of our popular guided hikes on the Underground Railroad Experience Trail. ‘Conductors’ provide historical context and explain techniques used to navigate the way North to freedom including the challenges and opportunities nighttime travel presented.Woodlawn Museum admission included. Participants should bring a flashlight and wear light colored or reflective clothing.
Offered April through November on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 7:00 pm. The hike covers approx. 4 miles and lasts 2 ½ hours. Appropriate for ages 7 and up.
Admission: $8 per person. Advanced registration highly recommended by 5 pm Friday before hike. www.ActiveMontgomery.org. Limited tickets sold night of hike at the Visitor Center.
