Award-winning Danish klezmer ensemble Mames Babegenush’s sound is the East meeting the North. Klezmer, traditional eastern European Jewish music, is, in turn, buoyant, poignant, and able to convey feelings of joy and sorrow with equal conviction. Mames Babegenush harness this rich palette of emotion and merge it with their Scandinavian roots, artistry, and imagination, to present a vibrant interpretation of the genre. It’s no wonder they have been welcomed on venerable stages around the world, from Carnegie Hall to Teatro Independencia in Argentina, and Roskilde Festival in Denmark. The band recently released its fifth album, Mames Babegenush with Strings.

The best way to enter the garage is by making a right turn directly into the garage from westbound Old Georgetown Road (between Grand Park Avenue and Executive Blvd). Follow the signs to the AMP elevator and go directly to level 4. The new Trade Street Garage is located at 11860 Trade Street, North Bethesda, MD 20852, right across from AMP and adjacent to the Per Sei apartments. Both are very convenient to the venue.
