Skywatching: 50th Anniversary of the Lunar Landing

Presented by Gaithersburg Community Museum at Observatory Park

Join us in commemorating the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the Moon. Hands-on activities, telescope viewing, and more will be part of the evening festivities. Tours of the historic Latitude Observatory. Co-sponsored with Rockville Science Center.

SOME SPECIFICS: Please don’t bring a bright flashlight; as it is intrusive to watchers. Also, adjust the brightness on any electronic devices. No running water available in the park. PARKING: Limited accessible parking available at Observatory Park. All other parking at the St Martin’s field at Rt. 355 and DeSellum Avenue.
