Join us for a multi-organizational art-service project to break the cycle of poverty & homelessness!
Our art-service collaboration between Montgomery College Art Professor Robert Devers, SOME (So Others Might Eat), and Washington Revels will expand this July when we are joined by our friends at Carpe Diem Arts and RefAmerica — including 20 teenage Syrian refugees participating in RefAmerica‘s leadership program! We’ll gather at the Revels Studio Space to paint a bowl that will be donated to SOME. Revelers will be passing on the Revels joy in a unique way: our bowls will help SOME in their mission to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.
While space was limited at our previous bowl-painting events, we’ll have lots of room for participants of all ages at Revels! To ensure that we have enough glazed bowls prepared, participants MUST RSVP in advance. We’ll schedule painting times in shifts; it takes about 1.5 hours to paint a bowl. Visit our website for RSVP instructions.
$12 per each bowl painted (fee is to cover the cost of supplies)
