Works of local artists on display and for sale throughout the Labor Day Weekend, shown in conjunction with the Kensington Labor Day Parade and Festival on Mon, Sept 2.
Artists from all over the area converge on Town Hall displaying their creativity with their original artworks. Art in all media: watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, mixed media and sculpture is displayed at the show. Prizes will be awarded in six categories. The Bertha Clum Award is given to the Kensington piece judged as best, and brings with it the Grand Prize.
ALSO: Saturday, August 31 - the "Plein Air Event" - from daybreak to 3 pm - artists set up their easels around town and PAINT KENSINGTON in a plein air competition for adults and children.

The free, three-day event includes a judged art show of hundreds of pieces of artwork made by local artists, an awards ceremony and reception that's open to the public, three days of live art demonstrations, plein air painting competitions for adults and children, and a special student invitational art contest.
